Our Story

1985

Build on Expertise and Passion

An energetic young man who started his career as a basic employee then promoted to the worker and operated as a fitter in the Textile Weaving Industry. With his enormous aspirations and sharp vision, he coveted of accomplishing his own traditional fabric manufacturing unit. Success is tradition and growth is imperative. With this philosophy, Mr. Natesan and his wife Mrs. Palaniammal Natesan founded Sri Prakash Textiles in the year 1985 located in the hub of the Indian knit garment industry adjacent to the textile city Coimbatore.
1989

The Beginning

The company was started with very limited resources and financial leverage with six power looms driven only by the founders to new heights of success with their simplicity, humility and confidence. Initial production was started with loom state woven fabric, and Greige Fabrics for shirting.Through their vigorous efforts, they catapulted their small textile unit with wide exposure of dhotis, Indian traditional style into huge mass production in 1989. They turned a small hosiery unit into a company whose products are well acclaimed and appreciated for their quality. This has only been possible due to their hard work and desire to evolve and grow as a textile industry that improves people's quality of life with their products.
2007

Leading through Innovation

The modernization of the textile division of Sri Prakash Textiles was taken up by Mr.Prakash Natesan, a proficient technology geek and Mr. Gunasekaran Natesan, skilled textile technology expert. Once they took over charge from his father in 2007, they turned the Indian-made and owned fabric unit into a vertically integrated flagship company in the textile industry with their strong fiber to fabric manufacturing capabilities. The blending of skilled textile knowledge with the latest software proficiency of the brother's duo is driven by an urge to improve and excel in the production of fabrics by the state-of-the-art machinery verified by a team of experts. In 2010 they forayed into research and development for the transition of the automatic loom from the power loom.
2011

Growing around the Globe

With their path-breaking ideas and infectious enthusiasm, the brothers launched their own tailored brand MagaArjun in 2011. The various products of MagaArjun comprise Dhoti, Lungi and Shirting Fabrics which are engineered to deliver durability, longevity, and value. A Garment division was opened with the manufacturing unit exclusive for shirts for men and kids. Leveraging textile design and manufacturing, they serve the UAE market, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, and major Indian cities including Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh,Telangana, Pondicherry, and Bihar.
2016
